What is Dealiac?
Dealiac is an app for those who seek gluten free restaurants. If you suffer from Coeliac disease, gluten intolerance or avoid gluten for lifestyle reasons, Dealiac is the perfect way to dine out safely and easily. You can find restaurants using our app and receive discounts by using the discount card via our app.
Do you still offer physical cards?
Our team has taken the decision to stop offering physical cards and to only offer discounts through our app. We may offer physical cards in the near future at a cost.
What deals do restaurants offer?
Most restaurants offer a discount with Dealiac which ranges between 10% and 50% off food excluding drinks. Otherwise, many restaurateurs give a free welcome drink, free side dishes or special set menus to Dealiac members. These offers are subject to conditions and constraints outlined by each restaurant. It is standard among most of our restaurants not to offer the discount on Friday or Saturday.
Can I use my card multiple times?
You may use your Dealiac card as many times as you wish. There are no limitations on how many discounts you can get, even at the same venue.
How much does the card cost?
Republic of Ireland – €2.99 monthly
United Kingdom – £2.49 monthly
United States – $2.99 monthly
Canada – $3.49 monthly
What restaurants are on board with the programme?
Dealiac is working closely with large and small restaurants across the country that we believe offer high quality gluten free food. We also ensure our restaurants take necessary steps to reduce the risk of cross contamination among food.
How do you decide which restaurants come onboard?
We accept restaurants that offer gluten free food and prepare it in areas that are free from gluten. We also insist that restaurants thoroughly clean food preparation areas and utensils to minimise the risk of cross contamination.
Can you guarantee that the food is free from gluten?
Dealiac will take every precaution to ensure every restaurant is fully aware of the severity of Coeliac disease and the necessary precautions that should be taken to minimise the risk of cross contamination. However, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the food is free from gluten due to the minimal possibility of cross contamination.
How do you check that restaurants still comply by Dealiac rules?
We are in constant contact with our restaurateurs informing them of our rules regarding minimising the risk of cross contamination. In addition, members consistently review the gluten free food offered. If there are reports of gluten contamination we will further investigate and remove the restaurant.
